My favorite Christmas movie of all time.
"One Magic Christmas" is a true classic, an underappreciated gem of a movie whose reputation will only grow as time passes and those of us who grew up watching it gain influence over popular culture.

Forget "It's a Wonderful Life" and the rest. This is the best Christmas movie ever made.

Mary Steenburgen turns in the performance of her career as Ginny Granger, a woman who's lost not only the Christmas spirit but also her very soul amid financial problems, family issues, and the pressures of modern life. Its up to Christmas angel Gideon (Harry Dean Stanton), Santa Claus, and Ginny's own children to help her recover what she has lost.

The movie's plot is certainly dark, and a box of kleenex may be necessary for some scenes. The writing is superb and the acting first-rate throughout.

A Good Message on One Front
One of those depressing Christmas flicks with a happy ending, this truly family movie has a good message about remembering what is really important in life. The main character, Ginny, is caught up in her her own problems and worries. She has lost her Christmas spirit and has forgotten how important her loved ones are to her. On a cautionary note, this film is different from other movies such as "It's a Wonderful Life" and "The Preacher's Wife" in that the angel seems to be a representative of Santa Claus, setting up good 'ol St. Nick to be a God-like figure. When tragedy strikes the family (not too much detail here so as not to spoil the movie if you haven't seen it yet) the angel takes Ginny's young daughter to Santa Claus. He tells her he can't solve her problem, but that her mother has the power to do it herself. Tombstone [Blu-ray]

A potential (cult?) classic!
While this movie may never achieve the critical acclaim it deserves, there is a grassroots appreciation for this movie that points out, once again, the different worlds of professional movie critics and the movie-viewing public. For example, Leonard Maltin describes Dana Delany as 'goofy' in this production. Personally, I found her captivating, and -- for some reason -- the most attractive I have ever seen her.

Kurt Russell turns in another excellent performance, proving once again that he has grown considerably as an actor over the years.

The performances of Michael Biehn, Sam Elliott, Powers Boothe, Billy Bob Thornton, Bill Paxton, Billy Zane, Jason Priestly, Joanna Pacula, even Charlton Heston, in supporting roles -- major and minor -- are carefully crafted and played to perfection.

But in my book Val Kilmer steals the show as Doc Holliday. Chalk this up as another excellent performance (e.g. Thunderheart) by the oft-maligned but excellent actor.

"I'm Your Huckleberry"
This is one of the most entertaining westerns ever made and as such, ranks right up there with "Shane," "Open Range," "Ride the Man Down" and Eastwood's "The Unforgiven." It is a story of changing times that haven't quite changed enough. Kurt Russell gives his best performance as Wyatt Earp, coming to Tombstone with his brothers to settle down and put his lawman days behind him. Tombstone is a wild town still and a group known as The Cowboys and a young gunslinger named Johnny Ringo begin to make this impossible.

Dana Delany is radiant as the actress Wyatt falls for even though he is married. His wife has become a drug addict and his marriage is not the stuff dreams are made of, but Dana Delaney is. The film takes its time as Wyatt and his brothers are slowly drawn towards the history we have come to know, and the aftermath we may not.

This is a multilayered story more faithful to the truth than most versions. What makes this film superior to other westerns is...

Blu-ray: Beautiful cinematography and really clear lossless audio! An enjoyable film!
1993 and it was the battle between two films based on the iconic western figure Wyatt Earp. Screenwriter Kevin Jarre ("The Mummy", "Glory", "Rambo: First Blood Part II") and Kevin Costner were originally set to make the film together but due to a disagreement, Costner would go on to film "Wyatt Earp" while Kevin Jarre would take his script to Buena Vista for distribution and sure enough, it became a contest of sorts as who would get their movie out first and which one would dominate in the box office.

Fortunately, despite numerous problems on the set of "Tombstone", if there is one thing that the film had was its all-star cast as Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe, Michael Biehn, Charlton Heston, Jason Priestly, Dana Delany, Thomas Haden Church, Billy Bob Thornton, Michael Rooker, Terry O'Quinn and many more.

Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Fifth Season

GREY'S......BACK IN FULL COLOR
SPOILERS---DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED
Somewhere halfway through this 5th season, I decided it would be my last. I was even tempted to stop right then and there. I think this happened around the same time that Izzie was having mind-boggling sex with Denny (the dead ex). But I decided to wait until the end. Who knows why?

And I am so glad I did. I have just finished watching the season finale. I have been downloading the episodes from iTunes since the season will not be out in DVD for a while. I still wanted to write a review in case you are hesitating to buy this season.

So without further delay or hesitation I say BUY IT. The 2nd half of the season more than makes up for the weaknesses in the first half, and the season finale is so good that it's worth to get it just for this. Well, to be honest, the season finale is devastating. So much so that it reignites your desire to watch the show and come back for the 6th Season.
But...

Truly Amazing!
I have worshiped and adored Grey's Anatomy since the second season. It's been a ritual for me to turn off my phones and other electronic devices to glue myself to the television to watch this tantalizing series unfold. Although the show fell off the track in seasons 3, 4, and to some extent in the early part of this season; I watched every moment of it. The storyline with Izzie was just hard to deal with at times, but i stuck by it. I am so glad I did; the last half of the season was brilliant. SPOILERS follow: If you are a Meredith and Derek fan they have worked their issues out and are truly great this season. The addition of Owen Hunt has brought new life back to the series, and to Christina. While I wasn't to crazy about the pairing of Sloane and Lexie, they have really grown on me. The crossover episodes with Private Practice were wonderful. The hundredth episode is one of the best, but the finale is what left me with chills. From start to finish it is easily one of the...

Second half brings Grey's back to life
There are more detailed, in-depth reviews already on this page, so I will keep this short. The first half of the fifth season is lacking, with weak plot lines trying to tie up loose ends. The second half brings Grey's Anatomy back to what it used to be, with interesting developments that make you care about certain characters. The end is a cliffhanger that is sad, yet deals with a character that has suffered in the writing since season 3.

Home Improvement: The Complete Third Season

Another great season of Home Improvement is here, here in this season is where it begins to take off with some great episodes such as the halloween episode crazy for you when tim thinks there a fan stalking him and dream on where al's girlfriend has a romantic dream of tim and reel man where al and tim go fishing, and many more . plus heidi is introduced in this season.anyway here are the rest of the episodes from season 3

A great season.
Home Improvement lasted for 8 seasons on ABC and the third season by far is one of the best seasons I've ever seen a long time! The best episode IMO would have to be the part where Tim and Bob compete for the third and final time on the show. Also the best episode would have to be the 5th anniversary of "Tool Time!" I like Home IMprovement and it will be the best of all time!

Great family show
I'm dissapointed now a days when I turn on the tv to find the same garbage. Sex, drugs, and language is all that's on. I'm glad to see that Home Improvement hasn't been forgotten. It's funny and a great show that is appropriate for the entire family. I highly reccommend all three seasons. They're great and if you're like me, I'm sure you'll love them.
